The need of astrology in life :

 Man is mortal and fate is pre-written. So ,there is no use of knowing about future as everything has already been prefixed by almighty. But for every event there is a reason ,whether it might be any programme to visit , going for outing ,attending any meeting or performing any task. Likewise , the event that we are bound to face must have some reason which has already been written on the date we gave birth. When someone come to know about the reason of his event for which any specific task is to be performed then alertness arises in mind and accordingly we put more effort to do the task nicely and to get the result better we put extra care to the work that we perform.

So, the thing which I want to make clear is , we have 9 planets which we calculate in our Vedic astrology and accordingly we go through different mahadasha of these 9 planets upto 120 years ;but if we could know some hints about the upcoming times/event based on reading a horoscope then we could be more careful about that perticular time period and more effort to put to make that event much better or smoother; as we gets results in life based on the duty/ karma we play in present life or has been played in past life.

So, doing remedies based of any planet that causes or going to cause disturb in life is one advance step to make the way smoother before riding .Our Karma and believe define our life and astrology is nothing but a science through which we can predict future ,help to sort out issue through remedies and make the journey of life smoother because astrology has been created for the help and service of mankind.
